INTRODUCTORY level
A first course in Japanese. Basic conversation, hiragana, katakana, kanji (120 kanji characters), and reading and writing are covered.
ELEMENTARY level
A
course in daily conversation, reading and writing. Completes the study of basic
grammar. Includes approximately 360 kanji characters in
total.
PREINTERMEDIATElevel
A
course in practical communication using sentence patterns studied in “Elementary”
classes. By reading longer passages, the course will further the basic reading
ability in order to progress to the “Intermediate” level. Approximately 520
kanji characters in total.
INTERMEDIATE level
A course in reading written sentences of various themes , newspaper columns and discussing them to improve presentation ability , also enrich knowledge of words and complex expressions.Includes approximately 700 kanji characters in total.
HIGH INTERMEDIATE level
A
more advanced course in reading various topics on the problems of
present Japanese society to expand vocabulary and expressions , and aim
at general language competence through discussing in the class.
Includes approximately 1000 kanji characters in total.
ADVANCED level
A more intensive course using novels, and newspapers to provide a high level of language competence. Topics of current interest will be discussed.
*All applicants except for complete beginner applicants are required to take the placement test.
*Each course lasts three months.
*Applicants of High-intermediate level should take two terms (six months).
*It is possible to join a course during the term, except for complete beginner applicants.
*Complete beginners can join our courses before the end of the first week.
*The Center may cancel classes with low enrollment.
